Birkirkara F.C. who emerged as one of the top teams in the elite of
Maltese football, has totalled eight cups, five of which were won in the
last two seasons. These past two seasons saw Cisk Export as the official
beer of Birkirkara F.C.
– it seems to have brought them luck! In season 2001-2002, Birkirkara F.C. managed to notch its first F.A. Trophy against Sliema Wanderers. A few days later in the Super Cup final, Birkirkara beat Hibernians 1-0 to win all the major honours that the Maltese championship can offer. The string of good luck continued during the season 2002-2003, where Birkirkara F.C. reached another first, by notching three cups in a row, the Super Five Cup, and for the second consecutive time the F.A. Trophy and Super Cup.
